BREAST EXPLANT WITH EN BLOC CAPSULECTOMY
Since the sole removal of the implant will not alleviate the patient’s condition, it is important to take out the implant and the capsule together. This procedure would relieve the discomfort and health risk the patient is having and is the best option for the patient. This operation is referred to as Breast Explant with En Bloc Capsulectomy. When the operation is performed the capsule and the old implant are carefully removed at the same time. Once this portion of the operation is complete, a new implant is inserted in a fresh pocket which is located behind the pectoralis muscle.
